Important Changes in U.S. Patent Laws May Affect Your I.P.

Neal Slifkin, leader of the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Harris Beach and a director on the RRPC Board, will be hosting dinner and drinks at Harris Beach on Thursday, November 21, 2013 for RRPC members.

Reception and sign in 5:15PM – 6:00PM.  Dinner and presentation 6:00PM – 6:30PM. The reception continues 6:30PM – 7:30PM. Neal will be presenting on important changes in the U.S. patent laws.

The America Invents Act has made significant changes to the U.S. patent laws.  The new law eliminated the first-to- invent system and replaced it with a first-to-file system.   The law also significantly changed the  “one year grace period” formerly available to inventors.  Neal will discuss these and other changes in a review of the new law, and of course answer any questions.

RSVP to Tom Battley.  Space is limited so don’t delay!
Harris Beach has hosted previous events, and they have been fun and informative. Hope to see you there!
