The Rochester Engineering Society is hosting a networking event for engineering professionals and students. The format will be casual with opportunities to meet with others in the engineering community, a reception-style setting with simple cheese tray and cash bar.

To help energize the evening’s interactions, noteworthy leaders from the “Imaging City” will give short presentations on their groundbreaking work in imaging, their passions, and the impact on the Rochester community and worldwide.
David Williams is the Dean for Research in Arts, Sciences and Engineering at the University of Rochester. His research in eyesight and vision has dramatically changed laser surgery techniques.
Richard Kaplan, CEO Torvec, RIT trustee, Past CEO of Pictometry, is a well-known entrepreneur and personally started seven companies. Pictometry’s geo-referenced aerial imaging is used extensively by civil engineers and city planners and by Microsoft’s Bing search engine.
