Membership in the New York Photonics Association is open to any organization or individual actively involved in or having a demonstrated interest in photonics. Benefits of membership include:
- Discounted exhibit space at SPIE and OSA conferences
Typical benefit per show: $150 to $300 for a tabletop $250 to $500 for a booth
- Discounted freight charges for major conferences
Typical benefit per show: $100 to $200 for a booth
- Discounted motel rooms at selected conferences
Typical benefit per show: 3 nights @ $30+ per night = $100 per conference
- Discounted rates for PIANY-sponsored group advertising
Recent example in major photonics periodical: $750 savings on a 1/4-page ad (Photonics Spectra and LFW)
- Discounted or free admission at regional / local PIANY events

- PIANY members unable to attend selected conferences can avoid exhibit space costs entirely -- by sharing space at PIANY’s tabletop display.
Typical benefit per conference: $1,000 to $1,800 for the exhibit space, PLUS the expense of any extra person(s) to staff your booth! Minimum yearly savings: $1,225
